Counselling & Psychotherapy for Young People aged 16-25 years

In 2008 I set up a successful Mental Health Project for young people aged 11-21 across Cambridgeshire. This project has taken confidential counselling into schools and youth settings, supporting troubled young people in liaison with CAMHs (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service), Social Services and other agencies. The project has been funded by the grant making trust Comic Relief, within a well established voluntary sector charitable organisation for young people called Centre 33 in Cambridge.

I continued to develop this project for two years, including delivering a successful trial of ground-breaking Equine Assisted Therapy for young people funded by Youthbank, and in collaboration with EA Therapist Pam Billinge. A copy of the report for this project can be requested as a download.

I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and Mental Health practioners who work with distressed young people. I am also undertaking research into counselling for young people.

I am very happy to accept referrals for counselling & psychotherapy with young people aged 16 and above.

The usual terms and fees apply. If you have any further questions please contact me.
